This is the first blog post after a long long time. And it is the first after renewing my laptop. And its the first I have done using Windows Live Writer.

So, lets see what happens when I upload from here.

One particular type of video games that I like is racing games. The ‘Need For Speed‘ racing game series developed by Electronic Arts Black Box in particular is one of my favorites. The first installment of the game titled ‘The Need for Speed’ released in 1994 was the only title in the series that I hadn’t played. My first experience of the series was the third installment of game titled ‘Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit’, released in 1998. Since then, I have played each and every title in the series which was released for the PC, including the second installment.

My personal favorites of all the games in the series were the third installment Hot Pursuit and the ninth installment titled ‘Need for Speed: Most Wanted’ released in 2005.

I didn’t much like the latest game of the series which was released this year titled ‘Need for Speed: Undercover’. It wasn’t bad but it didn’t provide much of a challenge as the other games. It may be because the story was cheap and the game was shorter that I had expected because it didn’t take me so much time to finish off the story. Furthermore, I didn’t find much improvement in the graphics either. Sad to say, but I found the graphics to be poorer than the previous installment ‘Need for Speed: ProStreet’. The game however did provide players with new types of races such as Outrun races and Highway battles races which were interesting and tricky.

The next installment scheduled for next year hasn’t been officially given a title yet but its development has begun. Let’s see if Electronic Arts can amaze us with something extraordinary next time around.
